Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts, 13-week assignment, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care for maternal and newborn patients in a busy hospital unit.
• Monitor fetal well-being and perform routine procedures such as vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond to emergencies and support patients through labor and delivery processes.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and dress code standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
• Valid nursing license and certification to practice in Virginia.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and every third weekend with on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit with high birth volumes.
• Comfortable managing both vaginal deliveries and C-sections in a fast-paced environment.
