Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the RN circulator in orthopedic operating rooms, assisting with various surgical procedures.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Provide patient care during complex orthopedic surgeries, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments as needed, including neuro cases within the same department.
• Maintain compliance with required licenses and certifications, and follow hospital dress code and policies.
• Participate in unit-specific orientation and training to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid BLS certification through AHA.
• Valid ACLS certification through AHA.
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience.
• Current state RN licensure.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience working in orthopedic or neuro surgery.
• Familiarity with computerized charting and medication systems.
• Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and floating to similar units as needed.
