Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 8-week contract, Days shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM), 4 days per week, 40 hours per week, on-call rotation, weekend on-call required, within 30 minutes of hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with surgical teams and assist with procedures involving ophthalmology and DaVinci Robot general surgery
• Follow established protocols, including pre- and post-operative patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies
• Participate in on-call duties, including weekends, with specified hours

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license
• BLS certification
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system
• Minimum 2+ years of OR nursing experience, including travel or contract experience
• Experience with ophthalmology procedures and DaVinci Robot preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Knowledge of ophthalmology and robotic surgery techniques
• Experience working in a team environment within a hospital setting
• Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced surgical environment
