Job Title

• Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to variable patient cases including trauma, STEMI, strokes, MVAs, and other urgent conditions.
• Triage and manage a fast-track area with dedicated rooms, ensuring efficient patient flow.
• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Use monitoring equipment, perform EKGs, ABGs, breathing treatments, and draw labs as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, manage ER holds, and respond to emergency situations effectively.
• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, security, and department protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN license in hand.
• Minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with variable patient diagnoses.
• Experience with trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients preferred.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team, including first-time travelers and duos.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working at Marshfield (must have end date at least 6 months prior to submission).
• Proficiency in managing various drips and emergency protocols.
• Flexibility with shift rotations and assignments, including inpatient float coverage.
