Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to post-operative patients in a busy medical-surgical unit
- Monitor patient conditions and manage wounds, drains, and post-operative equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records (Meditech)
- Assist in patient education and advocacy to promote recovery and well-being
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a similar setting
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with post-operative patient care and wound management
- Experience with dressing changes and drain management
- Comfortable working with Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
