- Travel, Night shift, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care to geriatric patients in an adult inpatient setting
- Monitor patient vital signs, manage emergencies such as rapid response and code blue situations
- Conduct procedures including blood draws, bladder scans, and IV management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) system
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in behavioral health or geriatric psychiatric units
- Strong assessment skills and ability to de-escalate patients
- Compassionate, patient, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Ability to de-escalate aggressive or agitated patients
- Flexibility to adapt to different patient needs and unit policies
