Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night Shift, 13-week assignment, 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a telemetry unit during night shift hours
- Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry data to identify abnormalities
- Administer medications and treatment as prescribed by physicians
- Perform advanced patient assessments, wound care, and IV starts
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or appropriate state license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical or telemetry unit
- Current BLS certification
- Strong proficiency in telemetry monitoring and standard medical-surgical procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience as a charge nurse
- Experience with Cerner Powerchart EMR system
- Ability to float to other medical-surgical units or ED holding areas as needed
