• Full-time, day shifts, 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts, on-site
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in intraoperative procedures within the Interventional Radiology department, supporting high-acuity patients with diagnoses such as GI bleeding, strokes, biopsies, and vascular access.
• Interpret EKGs and manage drip titrations under the supervision of charge RNs and physicians.
• Collaborate with the team during pre-op, phase 2 recovery, and procedural cases, maintaining patient safety and care standards.
• Participate in call shifts, including primary and secondary call duties, with a 30-minute response time.
• Follow departmental protocols, including patient ratios and procedural dress code, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Illinois RN license or confirmation that licensure application has been initiated.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and drip titration.
• Knowledge of EPIC EMR system; familiarity with Phillips monitors.
• Ability to interpret lab results and support procedural workflows.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience in interventional radiology, emergency department, ICU, or procedural units.
• Experience with ultrasounds, biopsies, and central line placements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high patient acuity.
