Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours guaranteed)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with neuro-related diagnoses on a Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and telemetry overflow.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, neurological status, and EKGs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support hospital needs by floating to other units as required.
• Maintain compliance with hospital and agency policies, including completion of required modules and certifications.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license
• At least 2 years of experience in neurology and telemetry nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Basic EKG testing proficiency (provided and mandated prior to orientation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in neuro-med/surg or stroke centers
• Ability to float within facility and support diverse patient populations
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
