Registered Nurse - LTAC
Location:
Baltimore, MD
Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, 4 days per week, day shifts (12 hours each)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a High Intensity Care Unit (HICU) specializing in vent/pulmonary care and acute rehabilitation.
- Monitor and treat patients with complex medical conditions, including acute brain injuries and respiratory support needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans and ensure optimal recovery.
- Follow strict attendance and punctuality policies, including all mandatory orientation and holiday coverage.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year for most specialties.
- Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Ability to work every other holiday (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience in a Critical Care or High Acuity setting is highly preferred.
- Comfortable floating within hospital departments as needed.
- Strong understanding of respiratory and neurological patient needs.
