Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in Intensive Monitoring, Progressive Care, or Stepdown units.
• Monitor and manage telemetry and neuro patients, including neuro-specific drips and sedation.
• Float to different levels of care such as Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU, as needed.
• Assist with complex patient cases including brain tumor resections, strokes, TBIs, and trauma.
• Respond to emergency situations and support multidisciplinary team needs.
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards across multiple hospital units.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana (or eligible for licensure).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience in a similar setting.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring, neuro assessments, and management of IV drips.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro patient care, including stroke, seizures, and brain surgeries.
• Knowledge of Level 1 trauma protocols and conscious sedation procedures.
• Ability to float confidently across Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU units.
• Experience working in teaching hospitals and precepting students is a plus.
