Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, ERCPs, and other GI interventions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and procedural equipment during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic system (Expanse).
• Collaborate with healthcare team members in a fast-paced endoscopy unit to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure patient care and education.
• Float to additional HCA endoscopy facilities or pre-op/PACU as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy or GI nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience with endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies, ERCPs, and other GI interventions.
• Ability to work 4 days per week, 9.5-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM), with on-call weekends and after-hours.
• Knowledge of bedside monitors, EKG, and endoscopic procedural equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with the Expanse documentation system.
• Strong team-oriented attitude in a family-like department environment.
• Experience with new endoscopy technology and procedures is a plus.
