• Full-time | Days shift | 12-hour shifts | 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to SICU patients, including those with cardiovascular, trauma, neurosurgery, and other surgical conditions.
• Manage critically ill patients, including immediate post-op cardiac patients and those requiring high-acuity interventions.
• Monitor and titrate IV drips such as epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressors, sedation, and vasoactive medications.
• Collaborate with an in-house team of intensivists, respiratory therapists, and nurse aides to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, rhythms, and interventions using GE monitors.
• Adhere to unit protocols and participate in shift handoffs and team communication.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Wisconsin.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Proven experience caring for high-acuity surgical and ICU patients, specifically in a tertiary care setting.
• Ability to manage titratable IV medications and respond to rapidly changing patient needs.
• Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and reading rhythm strips.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC and NIHSS certifications are preferred.
• Experience with medications such as heparin, insulin, dobutamine, dopamine, and milrinone.
• Prior experience with complex cardiac and trauma patients is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced respiratory equipment, including vents, BiPap, and Vapotherm.
