Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to ICU patients, including those with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure.
• Monitor critically ill patients using advanced equipment such as GE cardiac monitors, ventilators, NxStage CRRT, and Alaris IV pumps.
• Manage specialized procedures like continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the EPIC system.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, specifically in Medical ICU settings.
• Mandatory EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio at the time of submission.
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, AHA certifications only.
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience in ICU.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation system.
• Experience handling multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, and related critical conditions.

Additional Information

• No on-call required.
• No travel or housing stipend provided.
• Strict compliance with Ohio fingerprinting process required; candidates must complete fingerprinting immediately after signing.
• Travelers within driving distance must go to a fingerprinting location in Ohio; those farther will receive a mailing fingerprint packet for completion.
• RTO must be specified with submission and built into the contract.
• References: Two professional references required, including at least one supervisor or leadership figure.
• Candidates currently outside Ohio but within driving distance are encouraged to apply; local candidates accepted at the same rate.
