Job Title
• Director of Revenue Cycle

Location
• Excelsior Springs, MO

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, days, 8-hour shifts, flexible between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, charge capture, billing, coding, collections, and payment posting.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize revenue cycle operations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.
• Supervise teams involved in revenue cycle activities, such as Patient Access, Financial Services, HIM, and billing/coding departments.
• Monitor revenue cycle performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maximize revenue and cash flow.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to create strategies that improve cash flow, reduce accounts receivable days, and address payer disputes.
• Ensure accurate and timely billing, coding, and reimbursement from government and commercial payers.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Price Transparency, and reimbursement policies, and oversee internal audits.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, providing staff training, performance reviews, and leadership development.
• Analyze financial data related to revenue cycle operations and prepare regular performance reports for executive leadership.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role within healthcare.
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing, reimbursement, and compliance.
• Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and healthcare billing systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, especially in rural healthcare settings.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in Critical Access Hospitals or rural healthcare environments.
• Certification such as Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare-specific revenue cycle software.
• Proven ability to negotiate with payers and resolve claims disputes.
