Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging in accordance with ARDMS protocols for various exams, including OB/GYN, abdomen, pelvic/endovaginal, breast, thyroid, scrotum, and vascular studies such as DVT, arterial legs, and carotids.
• Receive patients, explain procedures, and select appropriate equipment to ensure quality patient care.
• Conduct echocardiography procedures (preferred).
• Handle office duties within a small department, including answering phones, scheduling exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching issues, ordering supplies, and assisting providers.
• Collaborate with staff to foster a positive working environment.
• Document Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities for imaging modalities, including high-level disinfection and adherence to Joint Commission regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Imaging or related field.
• Certification in diagnostic sonography (ARDMS preferred).
• At least 1 year of ultrasound experience.
• Valid ARDMS certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with echocardiography.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and maintain clean, functional work areas and properly care for equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, providers, patients, and staff.
