Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional patient care by evaluating, developing, implementing, and documenting individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize patient functional potential across all life areas.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), supervise treatment procedures, and ensure proper patient care.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and therapeutic home programs to be continued post-discharge.
• Complete timely documentation and billing in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Ensure all care aligns with hospital, rehabilitation department policies, state practice acts, and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (prior to 1/1/2016) or Doctorate of Physical Therapy (after 1/1/2016).
• Valid or eligible for a Physical Therapist license in the state of Ohio; licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• Certification in CPR or willingness to become certified within the first 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with a combined lift capacity of 100 pounds and push weight of 300 pounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work at different locations as assigned.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association is preferred.
• International candidates must hold a comparable degree from an accredited school of physical therapy.
