Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical/Tele
Location:
Meriden, CT
Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, 36 hours per week, night shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient acute care in medical-surgical, telemetry, and stroke units
- Monitor and assess stroke patients, managing care plans accordingly
- Document patient information accurately using electronic medical records system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care
- Participate in holiday and weekend rotations as part of the schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Active or compact Connecticut RN license
- BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be ONE year certification only)
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience in similar settings
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Comfortable with EPIC electronic health records
- Strong assessment skills for stroke and telemetry patients
