- Full-time, evening shift, 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-anesthesia care for adult patients in a busy PACU environment, managing a caseload of 120-140 cases per day.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs during recovery, including activities such as IV starts, conscious sedation, and pulmonary artery lines.
- Work across various units including general, trauma, thoracic, surgical oncology, gender-affirming surgeries, bariatric, colorectal, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, spine, neuro, cardiac, vascular, pediatric, plastic, hand, foot/ankle, transplant, IR, endoscopy, ENT, pain management, and ophthalmology.
- Float within different hospital areas as needed, ensuring excellent patient care and safety.
- Comply with travel and licensing requirements, maintaining all necessary certifications and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU nursing.
- Valid California Registered Nurse license (no temporary or provisional licenses).
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
- Experience with conscious sedation, IV starts, pulmonary artery lines, and telemetric ventilators.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic charting experience.
- Prior travel or PACU experience at a similar facility.
- Flexibility to float across units and work varied shifts.
