Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including those undergoing hematology and stem cell transplants.
- Administer chemotherapy and blood products following strict protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and interpret telemetry data, including dysrhythmias.
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, feeding tubes, and perform sterile dressing changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to assess patient needs and respond to rapid response teams as needed.
- Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records such as EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state or compact nursing license in hand at time of submission.
- Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hematology/oncology or medical-surgical/telemetry experience.
- BLS certification.
- Chemo certification (Oncology Nursing Society recommended).
- Experience with computerized charting, preferably EPIC.
- Knowledge of central line and PICC line management, blood administration, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification.
- Experience administering CAR-T therapy.
- Strong understanding of oncology diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and transplant procedures.
- Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule with night shifts.
