What You'll Be Doing

• Screen and evaluate patients to develop appropriate, individualized care plans for speech, hearing, and swallowing disabilities.

• Provide direct treatment under physician direction, focusing on restoring communicative efficiency and cognitive function.

• Manage a heavy, complex caseload with a specific emphasis on swallowing disorders and dysphagia management.

• Administer and interpret specialized hearing and speech tests to monitor and adjust patient progress.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing staff and rehab therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of evaluations, daily notes, and weekly summaries in compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Instruct and support residents and their families on practicing new skills and monitoring speech health.

• Utilize specialized tools and treatments tailored to the unique clinical needs of the geriatric population.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

• Licensure: Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

• Skills: Strong clinical capabilities and current knowledge of effective speech therapy techniques.

• Attributes: A confident, independent worker capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred Experience: Prior experience in a sub-acute or skilled nursing facility setting.
