Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility and accountability for providing expert, compassionate, and individualized nursing care for patients and their families in an operating room setting.

• Oversees daily patient flow to optimize patient care, safety, and satisfaction while demonstrating strong triage, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.

• Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures while consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines.

• Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care, support informed healthcare choices, and promote optimal wellness.

• Coordinates patient care with other care team members and external practices as needed to achieve the highest possible level of patient outcomes and satisfaction.

• Advocates for patient safety and preferences through Relationship-Based Care principles while maintaining full HIPAA compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

• Demonstrated ability to delegate care appropriately and in accordance with Colorado state statute.

• Competent healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a high-volume clinical environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in an operating room or surgical center environment.

• Experience managing high volumes of patient requests for medications, information, and clinical assistance.

• Familiarity with Just Culture principles and organizational values in a healthcare setting.
