Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a float capacity supporting Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ED Holds, and PCU/Stepdown units
• Manage patients at a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting based on overall acuity
• Administer and monitor IV drips including Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
• Provide care for patients requiring tracheostomy management
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic)
• Adhere to shift handoff protocols, ensuring timely and thorough communication of outstanding tasks to oncoming staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Delaware or a Compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, IMC, or Stepdown specialty (no exceptions)
• Recent hands-on Epic EMR experience required
• Current certifications required (must be provided with expiration dates at time of submission)
• Ability to work every other holiday and every third weekend
• No block scheduling; must be available per unit scheduling requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple inpatient units including Telemetry and ED Hold environments
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR in addition to Epic
• Experience with tracheostomy care and vasoactive or cardiac IV drip management
