Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week | Onsite | Start Date: 7/07/2026 | Duration: 12 Weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a float capacity supporting Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ED Holds, and PCU/Stepdown units
- Manage patients at a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting based on overall acuity
- Administer and monitor IV drips including Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone
- Provide care for patients requiring tracheostomy management
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic)
- Adhere to shift handoff protocols, ensuring timely and thorough communication of outstanding tasks to oncoming staff
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Delaware or a Compact state (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, IMC, or Stepdown specialty (no exceptions)
- Recent hands-on Epic EMR experience required
- Current certifications required (must be provided with expiration dates at time of submission)
- Ability to work every other holiday and every third weekend
- No block scheduling; must be available per unit scheduling requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience floating across multiple inpatient units including Telemetry and ED Hold environments
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR in addition to Epic
- Experience with tracheostomy care and vasoactive or cardiac IV drip management
