Contract | Days | Onsite | Guaranteed hours: 36 hours/week for 12-hour shifts or 40 hours/week for 8–10 hour shifts | Work week: Sunday through Saturday
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing patient treatment plans
- Provide direct patient care including therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising therapist
- Support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals within a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Iowa
- Graduate of an accredited PTA program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to fulfill guaranteed weekly hours as outlined by the contract schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility
- Familiarity with geriatric patient populations and rehabilitation protocols
