Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for pediatric patients ranging from 3 days to 18 years of age across PICU and general Pediatrics units
• Manage PICU patients presenting with respiratory conditions, trauma, seizures, poisoning, and donation cases
• Care for general Pediatrics patients including trauma, RSV, respiratory illness, surgical cases, and birth defects
• Utilize EPIC for computerized charting and Pyxis for medication management
• Float to additional units such as NICU as needed
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in Pediatrics and 1:2 in PICU

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both PICU and Pediatrics (both required)
• Active RN license – compact or Indiana state license required
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
• Prior experience in a Level 2 Trauma facility with 400+ beds required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong IV insertion skills
• Experience floating to NICU environments
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
