Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with a 101-bed unit and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient information on boards throughout each visit
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors in accordance with unit protocols
- Deliver patient experience standards including AIDET framework, respectful behavior, and consistent patient communication throughout the visit
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of total nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, coach peers, and provide real-time feedback
- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department and meet departmental scheduling needs
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Background working in a culturally diverse, high-acuity emergency care environment
