Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48-hour contract options available | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, including those receiving oncology, palliative care, and urology treatment
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer blood products, manage PCA pumps, and provide care via central lines and ports
• Assist with bone marrow aspirations and manage Pleurx chest tubes as needed
• Deliver family education related to oncological processes and palliative care
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Active WV RN license or valid Compact RN license; pending license accepted for submission
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ONS or ONCC certification required
• Proficiency with telemetry, central line draws, port access, blood administration, PCA pumps, bone marrow aspiration assist, and Pleurx chest tubes
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); medical exemption with documented allergist or physician record accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience (facility will consider strong candidates without oncology background)
• Chemotherapy administration experience
• Experience charting in Cerner
