Medical Laboratory Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist – Blood Bank

Contract | Nights | 4x10-Hour Shifts (21:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | 1 Holiday Required if Applicable | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized blood bank compatibility testing including ABO/Rh typing, antibody screening, and antibody identification
• Execute crossmatch procedures including Immediate Spin/IgG, Electronic Crossmatch, and Indirect Coombs Test
• Prepare blood components for transfusion in support of both pediatric and adult patient populations across specialty services
• Conduct specimen processing and antibody typing using tube method
• Float between multiple affiliated hospital locations as required

Required Qualifications

• Active ASCP-MLS or ASCP-BB certification required (MLTs not eligible)
• Minimum 18 months of relevant laboratory experience required
• Proficiency in specimen processing, ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen and ID, tube method antibody typing, and crossmatch procedures
• Must be willing and able to float between multiple affiliated hospital sites
• Must be available to work every other weekend and 1 holiday if it falls within the contract period
• Valid license must be in hand prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel laboratory experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Experience supporting high-volume laboratory environments
