Registered Nurse – ICU (Cardiac Intensive Care)

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including step-down overflow as needed
• Manage and monitor advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, management of invasive lines, ventilator management, and CRRT
• Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care, including sheath removal
• Care for post-cardiac surgery patients (not receiving patients directly from the OR)
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias in a high-acuity cardiac ICU environment with a 2:1 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CCU, CVICU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience with EPIC EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and TVP
• Experience with CRRT and ventilator management in an ICU setting
• Background in post-cardiac surgery nursing care
