Key Responsibilities
- Partner with residents and care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment through direct and indirect patient care
- Provide specialized care to Alzheimer's and dementia residents utilizing both verbal and non-verbal communication techniques and understanding behavioral expressions
- Deliver skilled nursing services on a transitional rehabilitation unit, including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
- Support long-term care residents requiring ongoing placement in a home-like environment
- Float to other units as needed to ensure consistent coverage across a 24/7 care setting
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team of care providers
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid State of Maine RN license or compact RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 1–3 years of RN experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work flexibly to support 24/7 coverage and float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute rehabilitation settings
- Experience working with Alzheimer's and dementia populations
