Job Title
• Oncology Nurse – Med Surg/Tele

Location
• Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type
• 3 days per week, Day shift, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric oncology patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform specialized procedures such as brachytherapy and CBI, following infection prevention protocols.
• Monitor telemetry readings, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and utilize rapid response teams as needed.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using electronic charting systems.

Required Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) license with active state licensure in Ohio or valid compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in oncology procedures including chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and manage complex patient care situations.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Certification in Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy.
• Experience with clinical trials and data collection.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient fall prevention protocols.

Additional Notes
• Shift assignments are reviewed every 4 weeks; scheduling may include days, nights, or a combination based on department needs.
• Orientation includes a two-week on-site training with a preceptor.
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly to ensure compliance and start on time.
• Travel and background screening requirements apply.
• RTO (Requested Time Off) must be built into the contract prior to submission.
