Contract | Days | Onsite | Shift options include 4x10-hour shifts (11:00–21:30), 3x12-hour shifts, or 4x12-hour shifts depending on weekly hour guarantee

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating RN duties in the cardiovascular operating room; scrubbing is not required for this position
• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care for complex cardiac procedures including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO cases
• Participate in on-call rotation, approximately 100 hours per 6-week period, including one call weekend (Friday evening through Monday morning) per 6-week cycle
• Float to other OR specialties as required within the facility or to affiliate locations
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health record system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes in a short-term acute care environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license for the state of Indiana, a compact license, or an Indiana temporary license; license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR or relevant RN experience; first-time CVOR travelers may be considered with Level I Trauma experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Willingness and ability to float to other OR specialties within the facility or nearby affiliate hospitals
• Nursing degree from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous Level I Trauma center experience
• Hands-on experience with heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, or ECMO
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system
