Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments in accordance with RN scope of practice, considering culture, age, and developmental level
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including identifying patient risk factors, determining desired outcomes, and coordinating with the inter-professional team
• Fully execute patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy, recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition appropriately
• Provide patient and family-centered education, explaining procedures, treatments, and processes clearly and effectively
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of delegated care provided by other team members
• Facilitate the patient discharge process, including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management as indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN)
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting
• Prior Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
