Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (3x12 Hours, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | 36 Hours per Week | 13–26 Week Assignments
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and care for cardiac patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization conditions
- Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote cardiac monitoring
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
- Perform sheath pulls, TR Band, and Femstop management; provide pre- and post-cardiac cath and pre- and post-cardiac surgery care
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, and port access; administer blood products
- Float to other units as needed, potentially every shift; participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience required
- Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring
- Experience with pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, and sheath removal
- Active ACLS certification required
- Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
