Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 48 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) populations
• Work within a unit that includes private labor rooms, private triage beds, and OB operating rooms supporting approximately 2,000 annual deliveries
• Collaborate with certified nurse midwives and maternal fetal medicine specialists to deliver comprehensive obstetric care
• Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as needed; may be floated to NICU (feeder/grower level)
• Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
• Complete required orientation modules and maintain compliance with facility charting and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be in-hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Fetal monitoring certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring certification required
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience in both low-risk and high-risk obstetric settings
• Familiarity with Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower patient populations
