Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Progressive Care

Contract | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Mid Shift | Onsite | Traditional weekday plus weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill and progressive care patients in a mixed acuity unit, including those with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia
• Initiate and titrate IV drips including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics; care for ventilated patients and assist with intubations and line placement
• Monitor patients using Phillips heart monitors, EKG machines, and dopplers; document care using Epic EMR and manage medications via Pyxis
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:2–1:3 for ICU patients and 1:3 for progressive care patients
• Float to other ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units as needed while maintaining a maximum 1:3 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana RN License required
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and communication skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
