Key Responsibilities
- Performs general nuclear medicine examinations, therapeutic procedures, and PET/CT patient exams in a hospital-based, acute care environment
- Conducts nuclear medicine quality control measures and carries out patient exams and procedures as requested by medical staff
- Assists radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures
- Completes documentation required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams
- Verifies written and electronic orders and related health information to ensure timely performance and reporting of nuclear medicine exams
- Completes appropriate documentation for the administration, receipt, return, decay, and disposal of radioactive materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Allied Health Education program or equivalent
- Active ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Ability to work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends, after-hours shifts, and on-call as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of one (1) year of post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Strong ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines in a busy, stressful environment
