Registered Nurse – Observation (Evening Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 36 hours per week | Evening Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an Observation unit as the primary assignment
• Float to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac as needed
• Float to the Emergency Department when appropriately skilled and knowledgeable
• Accurately read and interpret Telemetry/BCRA monitoring as required by unit standards
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR throughout each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Ohio or compact equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of current and recent Telemetry and/or Med-Surg experience
• Demonstrated ability to read Telemetry/BCRA — competency will be assessed on day one
• Current, active BLS certification required
• Current, active ACLS certification required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is required prior to start — on-site training or refresher courses are not available for this requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple Med-Surg specialty units (Respiratory, Stroke, Cardiac)
• Emergency Department nursing experience or familiarity with ED workflows
