Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiac and medical intensive care patients, including step-down overflow as needed
• Manage and monitor advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, management of invasive lines, and ventilator care
• Administer and monitor CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
• Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and intervention care, including sheath removal
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias in a high-acuity patient population at a 2:1 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU setting (CVICU, CCU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU strongly preferred)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Demonstrated competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with post-cardiac surgery care (not directly from the OR), sheath removal, and pre/post cardiac cath/intervention
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC EMR experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with advanced cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, LVAD, and TVP
• Experience with CRRT and mechanical ventilation in a critical care environment
• Familiarity with high-acuity cardiac patient populations at a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
