Contract | 3 x 12-hour evening shifts (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM) | Expected 36 hours/week | No block scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a freestanding emergency department
• Manage and respond to special procedures including moderate sedation, stroke codes, heart codes, trauma codes, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, and external pacing
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4 in a 21–30 bed emergency department
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR; provide thorough handoff communication at change of shift, particularly following codes, RRTs, or significant events
• Fulfill holiday and weekend requirements (every other holiday; every 3rd weekend)
• Adhere to unit policies including meal break compliance and shift tag-out procedures coordinated with charge nursing leadership

Required Qualifications

• Active Delaware RN license or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience required; no exceptions
• Recent Epic experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates; candidates within 50 miles are considered local
• No call requirement
• Overtime and incidental overtime are not authorized for travel RNs on this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with moderate sedation and emergency code response protocols
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR documentation
• Experience supporting a range of patient populations from pediatric to geriatric in a high-acuity emergency setting
