Contract | Days | 36–40 hours per week | Majority of hours 0700–2300 with occasional nights; varied weekend rotation (up to every 4th weekend); backup call rotation; 8- and 12-hour shifts available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-procedure care for all surgical specialties including adults and pediatric patients in an 18-bay and 14-bay Phase I PACU setting across two floors
• Care for high-acuity patients including those from ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and Interventional Radiology
• Manage pediatric patients, with an average of 5–15 pediatric cases per day
• Utilize Epic charting, AcuDose medication dispensing, Philips monitors, ventilators, and BiPAP equipment
• Adhere to ASPAN nurse-to-patient ratio standards (1:1 or 2:1)
• May float between campuses to support Phase I PACU coverage

Required Qualifications

• Current North Dakota RN license (or compact license eligible)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – all must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds) required; outpatient surgery center experience alone is not a match
• Must be able to care for both adult and pediatric patients, including high-acuity cases
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Critical Care or ICU nursing experience
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
• Experience with ventilator and BiPAP management in a post-anesthesia setting
