Key Responsibilities

• Hold shift accountability for providing care to Wound/Ostomy Care patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Wound Care RN in a hospital setting
• CWOCN certification required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience with wound and ostomy care in an acute care hospital environment
