Contract | 13 Weeks | 3 x 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds on all patients, coordinating and taking action on any unmet care requirements to ensure quality patient service.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on thorough assessment of patients' physical, psychological, social, educational, developmental, and rehabilitative needs.
• Assess, intervene, and reassess patients' pain and symptoms promptly, taking appropriate action per standard operating procedures.
• Identify early warning signs of changes in patient condition, respond appropriately to deteriorating patients, and assist with or institute emergency measures as needed.
• Report and accurately document pertinent patient observations and reactions to the appropriate multidisciplinary team members, ensuring timely interventions and referrals.
• Initiate discharge planning, patient and family education, and counseling as early as possible to optimize understanding and safe discharge outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license issued by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or a Compact State Agreement — required prior to start date.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — required prior to start date.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) — required prior to start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics (RQI Partners) — required prior to start date.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program certification — required prior to start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary care team in an acute care or hospital setting.
