Contract | Days | Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM | 5x8-hour shifts | 13–26 week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care physical therapy services across a range of units including ER, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Orthopedics
• Perform evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, set short-term goals, and conduct reassessments
• Implement therapeutic interventions including gait training, AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, and assistive device training
• Deliver patient and family education including home exercise programs, body mechanics, and safe use of mobility aids
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, CABG, MI, hip fractures, total joint replacements, and post-stroke rehabilitation
• Monitor and document vital signs, pain assessments, skin integrity, and discharge planning using Epic charting

Required Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapist (PT) license — compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of candidate submission; post-offer RTO may not be granted
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard traveler rates; locals within 50 miles are accepted at a different rate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with geriatric populations in an acute care hospital setting
• Familiarity with post-surgical orthopedic rehabilitation including total hip and total knee replacements
• Experience with cardiac and pulmonary patient populations (CHF, COPD, CABG, MI)
• Prior use of Epic electronic health records
