Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a BMT Oncology unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 30 across 32 beds
• Administer chemotherapy and blood/blood products; access and manage ports, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted lines
• Perform telemetry interpretation and monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias (Relias EKG exam passage required)
• Support autologous stem cell transplant patients and administer antibiotics, antiemetics, and other IV therapies
• Perform Foley catheter insertion and management, central line blood draws, and maintain isolation precautions
• Float throughout the Oncology department as needed; assignment to a specific unit is not guaranteed each shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; compact license must match permanent residence)
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology experience required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS required (ACLS must be obtained by compliance document deadline)
• Must pass the Relias EKG exam (Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias)
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with autologous stem cell transplants
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs and managing PICC and central lines in an acute oncology setting
