Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Float Pool)

Contract | Nights (3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30) | Expected 36 hours/week | Some weekends and holidays required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry float pool setting across multiple units
• Perform IV starts and continuous telemetry monitoring as core clinical duties
• Float within the hospital system as assigned to meet staffing needs
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR required
• IV start and telemetry monitoring skills required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Locals are welcome and accepted
• Former employees of the facility may be eligible for a travel assignment after a minimum 6-month separation; current employees of any facility within the system are not eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a float pool or multi-unit environment
• Strong adaptability and ability to acclimate quickly to varying unit workflows
• Familiarity with academic medical center environments
