Occupational Therapist – Inpatient Rehab / Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in both inpatient and acute rehab settings
• Plan and implement ongoing occupational therapy treatment programs as prescribed by the ordering physician
• Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs, and independently manage a full caseload
• Apply knowledge of insurance authorization requirements to determine appropriate timing of re-evaluations
• Document patient care using EMR systems, including Net Health Therapy and Meditech
• Work Hawaii State and Federal holidays as necessary based on facility operational needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Hawaii State Occupational Therapist license required by start of assignment
• BLS certification from the American Red Cross required
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience with adult populations in outpatient and acute care settings
• Proficiency with EMR platforms, specifically Net Health Therapy and Meditech

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in inpatient rehabilitation and acute rehab environments
• Familiarity with insurance authorization processes and documentation requirements
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full patient caseload
