Social Worker – Licensed Clinical / Mental Health (Emergency Department)

Contract (13 or 26 weeks available) | Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday) | On-call not required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct crisis risk assessments for both adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department setting
• Provide clinical social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy services within the ED
• Float between units within the facility as needed based on staffing demands
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• May be asked to float to a sister facility to perform the same duties when overstaffed

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); associate-level license also accepted — license pending at time of submittal is acceptable
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Experience conducting crisis risk assessments with adult and pediatric populations
• Proficiency or ability to chart in Epic
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior hospital or acute care emergency department experience
• Familiarity with adult and pediatric psychiatric emergency workflows
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center environment
