Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an ENT and Plastic Surgery unit, caring for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blowout precautions, and free flap monitoring
• Perform and manage tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, drain care, tube feeding, and wound care
• Monitor and manage central lines, IV access, and perform phlebotomy
• Telemetry monitoring required as part of routine patient care responsibilities
• Float within service line to meet facility needs as required
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (must match permanent residence); pending Missouri license submissions accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience; candidates with 1+ year of experience at a Level I or Teaching Facility may be considered
• ACLS certification required by compliance document deadline
• BCLS certification required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO requests must be finalized at time of submission; no more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in ENT, head and neck, or plastic surgery nursing
• Experience with free flap monitoring and post-operative drain management
• Familiarity with tracheostomy and laryngectomy patient populations
