Job Summary and Qualifications The  Director Trauma Program  provides facilitation and direction for a multidisciplinary trauma service with primary focus on developing/implementing and monitoring systems to enhance care of the trauma patient, while also serving as a resource for inter-intra disciplinary team members and patient families that participate in the care of trauma patients. The Director works in close collaboration with the Trauma Medical Director to promote the goals of the Trauma Program, to qualify all care issues and system issues regarding the program development, and to optimize patient care across the age and injury spectrum. The Director is also accountable for program development, both at the hospital, local and within state/national systems, responsible for oversight/direction of trauma related activities, and initiates changes internally and external that will promote optimal trauma care. Other duties include performing all functions necessary to act as an agent to the Trauma Medical Director and Administration, to ensure compliance with all hospital, local, state and American College of Surgeons requirements, and maintaining responsibility/accountability for 24-hour day management of the trauma program. What qualifications you will need: ·        Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN highly preferred ·        5+ years RN experience in trauma, emergency services or critical care required ·        Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice and/or active compact license, in accordance with laws and regulation required ·        Current American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS; ACLS required ·        ENPC OR PALS; TNCC OR ATC required Additional Information: # of FTEs: 15 Types of Services: Trauma Program Culture of Facility/Unit: very much like family, awesome leadership team, very patient centered and focused Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the VP Operations The candidate MUST have experience in leading and managing a trauma program.
